Incorporated in 1886, Willows is a place where family, friends and community come together in a rich history of agriculture and service. Willows also serves as the county seat of Glenn County. Our historical court house, and the Veterans Memorial Hall house many of the county governmental services.
Agriculture is our main stay here in Willows and Glenn County.
We are nestled in the Northern California Valley between both mountain ranges.
Farms, ranches and dairies spread across our landscape making our area a beautiful patchwork of nature!
Our crops range from Walnuts, Almonds, Rice, Olives and Olive Oil, Cheese, Butter and more. Local vegetable and fruit growers flourish in our small county.
Annual events throughout the year shows how our community cares! From the Fireman's Breakfasts, Lamb Derby & Parade, Fireworks, Toys for Tots, Fundraising Dinners, Pool in the summer months, Community Markets, Runs/Walks, Relay for Life, Car &Bike Show, Blues & Brews, Golfing, Boating, and more!
Willows is home to an active artisans' community too. From authors, to painters, photographers, and craftsmen of every flavor!
Take a tour through our Willows Museum which is surrounded by a heritage rose garden. Inside the former Carnegie Library building, it hosts eras of local history to enjoy.
Our areas hunting and fishing are very popular with the locals and our out of town visitors.
